Description
The Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center is located at 2201 Fred Taylor Dr. on OSU's Columbus campus. It is the first building on the Ohio State campus to be certified in the LEED program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Environmentally friendly strategies in building and site design include: the use of a geothermal heating and cooling system, choice of materials, day-lighting strategies, minimal disturbance of land in the construction process, recycling of rainwater for irrigation, and absorptive paving.
