Description
Luciano Laurana, Architect Urbino, Marches, Italy "Francesco di Giorgio was Federigo's engineer and the Dalmatian-born Luciano Laurana was the architect who began his Palazzo Ducale in IUrbino (1465-72). The palace surrounds a cortile but is slightly more rambling in plan than a typical Florentine merchant's residence; its rooms are light, airy, and carefully proportioned." -- Moffett, M., Fazio, M., Wodehouse, L.
