Scarpa restored this 16th century Venetian palace. He worked on the ground floor, which was prone to flooding, and the garden. The Palazzo now functions as an art museum. The ground floor contains a library. The primary exhibition areas are on the upper floors, which were designed by Mario Botta. Scarpa's design allows water to flow throughout the ground floor in a series of channels.
