Description
Pollok Estate has been the home of the Maxwell family since the mid-13th century. The present house was built around 1740 on the site of three earlier family structures, and it was extended in 1890 by Sir John Stirling Maxwell. The house is filled with collections of Spanish art, antique furniture, silverware and ceramics, and an impressive library.
