Public Market Center (also known as Pike Place Public Market) has retained its character as an outlet for farmers, craftspeople, merchants, restaurateurs, and performers. The Main Market (shown in this image), with street-level stalls and a subterranean warren of shops, stretches in an L-shape and, across Pike Place, are the Sanitary Market (opened in 1910) and related buildings.
