Description
Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana is also called Colosseo Quadrato, Square Colosseum, or the Palazzo della Civiltà di Lavoro. It has a distinctive array of 216 arches on its four faces. It is located in the Esposizione Universale di Roma (EUR) district, which was built by Mussolini for the 1942 World's Fair, which was never held. Architect Marcello Piacentini conducted the arrangement of the EUR (1938-1942). The building is now used as office space.
