Description
The Temple F is also known as Temple of Athena or Dionysus. Selinunte, also known as Selinus or Silenus, is an abandoned ancient Greek city, with ruins of an acropolis and numerous temples. The city was founded in the seventh century B.C.E., and effectively destroyed in 409 B.C.E. The height of the city's prosperity lasted for a period of about two centuries, when it was one of the most progressive Greek cities in Sicily, famous throughout Magna Graecia.
