Description
Thanksgiving Point is a unique, non-profit institution owned by Alan and Karen Ashton, co-founders of WordPerfect Corporation. They wanted to create a development that includes educational activities for families. The 55-acre complex includes a museum, series of gardens, championship golf course, and a country farm. This privately-owned development is open to the public, although a fee is assessed for the museum, gardens, and other attractions.
The Thanksgiving Point Gardens were designed to be a peaceful place where nature could be appreciated by local residents. Utah landscape architect Leonard Grassli designed a series of gardens motivated by themes: The Creek Garden, the Monet Garden, the Rose Garden, the Fragrance Garden, the Secret Garden, the Italian Garden, the Butterfly Garden, the Parterre Garden, the Vista Garden, a Children's Garden, and the Waterfall Garden. - Thanksgiving Point Website
