Description
This theater dedicated to Dionysus is situated at the southern foot of the hill of the Acropolis, having three banks of seats and two diazomata scooped out of the rock. It could accommodate eighteen thousand spectators and had sixty-seven individualized marble thrones for city dignitaries.
