Description
The Trocadero area is made up of the Place du Trocadero and terraced gardens, which are dominated by the Palais de Chaillot. Palais de Chaillot was built in 1937 for the Exposition Universelle. The central terrace between the two wings forms a perfect frame from which the Eiffel Tower can be viewed. The building houses the radical Theatre National de Chaillot and four museums, only two of which are currently open, the Musee de l'Homme and the Musee de la Marine. --See: http://www.monument-paris.com/trocadero.htm
