This was a student project by Kyle Wade for Jose Oubrerie's ARCH 844 course, Autumn 2007.
"Valpara/so, one of Chile's most important seaports has become an increasingly vital cultural center. It's built upon dozens of steep hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean and uses funicular railways as one of its major transportation elements. The design of the museum uses a series of intertwining ramps to create both visual and physical connections between the various levels of the cities. As the public and private systems intertwine moments of visual connection occur." - Kyle Wade
This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. The effort to preserve and digitize drawings in the Student Archives was sponsored in part by the Graham Foundation.
