Description
This view is from the palace to the villa along the main axis. The layout utilizes allees within the garden, extending sightlines and walks into the countryside. Changes to the garden since its creation include closing walks with gates (enclosing the garden) and in 1911 removal of (vegetated) parterres along the axis to install the water feature shown. The garden was designed by Girolamo Frigimelica and contains a large number of statuary completed in a Rococo manner. The white rectangle at the end of the pool is fabric covering a temporary scaffolding.
